Mumbai Indians also have two points from three matches, coming from an eight-wicket win in the last game against Kolkata Knight Riders. That was preceded by a four-wicket loss to Chennai Super Kings and a 36-run defeat to Gujarat Titans.

The problem for Mumbai is their poor batting returns with only one individual fifty in the campaign. That was for Ryan Rickelton (81 runs), while three bowlers have aggregated four wickets each. One of those was Ashwani Kumar, who debuted in the last match.

The worries for Mumbai start with Rohit Sharma (21 runs) and the lack of penetrative spells with the new ball.
