Matches are played in the Twenty20 format, meaning both sides will have a maximum of 20 overs to bat and a maximum of 20 overs to field. The competition currently sees teams divided into five groups with 10 teams progressing to the knockout stages.
Teams receive four points for a win, two for a tie, no result or abandoned game, while teams get no points for a loss.
