The premier Twenty20 competition in the Women's game in England and Wales has been given a major rework heading into the 2025 season. Formerly known as the Charlotte Edwards Cup, the Women's T20 Blast sees the top sides in the English game come together to battle in the shortest and most exciting format of the game.

The competition will be held in cricket grounds across England and Wales before the top sides battle across Finals Day.

Teams & Format
The Women's T20 Blast, also known as the Women's Vitality Blast, will be the first season of the newly revamped Charlotte Edwards Cup. It is the direct equivalent of the Men's T20 Blast.
The format of the competition sees 18 teams split into two leagues. In League One there are eight teams which include:
- Essex Eagles
- Hampshire Hawks
- Birmingham Bears
- The Blaze
- Surrey
- Lancashire Thunder
- Durham
- Somerset
League Two is split into the North Group and the South Group.
The sides in the North Group are:
- Yorkshire Vikings
- Northants Steelbacks
- Worcestershire Rapids
- Leicestershire Foxes
- Derbyshire Falcons
The sides in the South Group Are:
- Middlesex
- Sussex Sharks
- Kent Spitfires
- Glamorgan
- Gloucestershire
The competition sees the eight sides in League One given Tier One status, with Glamorgan and Yorkshire Vikings due to be given Tier One status in 2027. Another two clubs will be given Tier One status by 2029.
The top two teams from each group will progress to Finals Day.
History & Winners
2025 is the first iteration of the new T20 competition that has been created to replace the Charlotte Edwards Cup.
The revamped competition will see teams split into two difference leagues made up of 18 teams. League One will contain eight teams, while League Two is split into a North Group and a South Group, both containing five teams each.
As the first iteration of this format, there are no previous winners.
