English Cricket
Managed by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), England is one of the oldest international cricket teams in the world.
England have been a Full Member team since 1909 but played the first Test match back in 1877 against Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
Almost a century later, England participated in their first ODI, in 1971 against Australia at the same venue as their first Test.
The men’s domestic set-up is comprised of 18 county teams, including one from Wales (Glamorgan). The County Championship is the men’s First Class competition while the One Day Cup is an annual List A competition.
T20 cricket began in England, back in 2003, with the T20 Blast. A 100-ball competition, called The Hundred, has found immense traction and popularity as an innovative format in England.
In women’s cricket, the Charlotte Edwards Cup is a regional T20 tournament and the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy is the premier 50-over competition in England.
How To Stream Cricket in England
Most international and domestic matches in England are broadcasted by Sky Sports. Broadcast rights are then distributed to various channels across the world, depending on the jurisdiction.
The ECB has been an innovative board to bring domestic cricket into the online realm. The ECB has often live broadcasted the County Championship, the T20 Blast as well as women’s cricket on YouTube.

Vitality Blast
The T20 Blast was the first domestic tournament in the world with the first tournament held in 2003.
The T20 Blast, apart from the Indian Premier League and the Big Bash League, is one of the top T20 tournaments in the world, particularly because of the depth of the competition, which features 18 teams.
The T20 Blast often concludes with a Finals Day, which includes two semi-finals and the final played on the same day.
Royal London One Day Cup
The Royal London One Day Cup is England’s top List A competition, played between 18 counties.
The first edition of the tournament was held back in 2014, replacing a 40-over competition which soon lost relevance with the shorter nature of the format not matching up with the 50-over set-up in international cricket.

The 2020 edition of the Royal London One Day Cup was cancelled because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Hundred
The Hundred is the newest format in top-tier domestic cricket, with each innings featuring 100 balls split into 5-ball blocks.
The first version of The Hundred was played in 2021, with eight teams participating on an annual basis: Birmingham Phoenix, London Spirit, Oval Invincibles, Manchester Originals, Northern Superchargers, Southern Brave, Trent Rockets and Welsh Fire.
