England found a way to force a result last week in the first test. Will England wrap up the series in the second Test with Joe Root once again scoring big? Pakistan’s Shan Masood scored 151 runs in the 1st innings of the last Test.

Pakistan will be bitterly disappointed with their defeat in the first test and also their overall Test form in recent times.

Batting first, Pakistan piled on 556 runs as Abdullah Shafique, Shan Masood and Salma Agha scored 100+ runs. However, the pitch was flat, and England made hay as well, scoring a mammoth 823-7 before declaring.

Then, out of nowhere, Pakistan completely collapsed to 220 all out in just over 50 overs. Salmah Aghan scored 63 runs while there was one other score of 50+ runs.

England are in outstanding Test form currently with only one defeat in their last seven. However, this is their first away win this summer.

On a pitch that offered the bowlers nothing, England toiled hard, bowling Pakistan out for 556 runs. In response, Joe Root scored 262 runs and Harry Brook an incredible 317 as England ran up a total of 823 before declaring.

Jack Leach produced the goods with the ball, taking 4-30 as England bowled the hosts out for 220 to win by an innings and 47 runs.
