Teams & Format
The competition is played in the Twenty20 format, meaning sides have a maximum of 20 overs to bat and 20 overs in the field in each match. The type of game is the shortest of the three major formats meaning that batters look to go big from the first ball. The bowlers are given a chance to take wickets if they can get their plans and lines right but, if they get it wrong, the ball disappears over the boundary rope.
The competition is played in a double round-robin format that ends with a final. Each of the five teams battle for a place in the showpiece final, with the participating teams including:
