SLC T20 League Format & Teams
There are a total of three teams taking part in the competition, with the following sides set to take to the field:
- SLC Blues
- SLC Greens
- SLC Greys
Only having three teams in the tournament means that competition for the trophy will be fierce. The tournament is played in a double round robin format, with each side playing the other two teams twice. The top two sides then meet in the final.
This style of shortened format cricket generally results in each game becoming hugely important. Unless the top two completely hammer the third side, there will usually be competition for each of the top places. A lack of dead rubbers is always a good thing in competitive cricket.
The format of each match will see teams play Twenty20 cricket. This means each team will have a maximum of 20 overs to bat and 20 overs in the field. As the shortest of the three major formats of the game, T20’s are the most explosive, with players looking to go big with the bat or take wickets quickly when in the field.
History & Winners
The competition was last held in 2022, with the SLC Blues running out as the winners. There were no iterations of the competition in 2023 or 2024, with 2025 seeing the competition return with the Greens securing the trophy.
