Teams & Format
There are six franchises battling across the tournament. The format sees a total of 36 matches played with the final taking place on June 22. This comes at the culmination of a round-robin group stage that pits each side against the other five teams.
Matches are played in the Twenty20 format, meaning there is very little time between the first and last ball. Generally, the batters tee off early on, meaning there is as much chance of a big six being hit as there is a batter losing their stumps.
The sides taking part in the 2025 iteration of the tournament are:
- Ratnagiri Jets
- Eagle Nashik Titans
- Puneri Bappa
- Raigad Royals
- Satara Warriors
- Kolhapur Tuskers
Teams & 2025 Prospects
Team | 2025 Prospects |
---|---|
Ratnagiri Jets | The winners of the inaugural season in 2024, the Jets have been building a strong all-round lineup that looks competitive again. |
Eagle Nashik Titans | The reigning champions have a target on their back in 2025, with each of the other six sides looking to snatch the trophy from the Titans. |
Puneri Bappa | Matching the top sides have proved tough for Puneri Bappa, and this season looks like it will be another miss for them. |
Raigad Royals | The Royals have been able to add some power to their batting lineup, with the side looking to blast the opposition bowlers to all parts of the ground this year. |
Satara Warriors | The Warriors are looking to nurture youth for the future, with a shot at the title in 2025 likely a long way off. |
Kolhapur Tuskers | The Tuskers will be hoping that they can end their title winning duck in the competition with a good mix of youth and experience in their squad. |
History & Winners
This is only the third iteration of the competition, although the buzz around the tournament would suggest it has been played for far longer. Heading into 2025, Eagle Nashik Titans are the reigning champions, but they have it all to do if they are to win again.
