Modern cricket still suffers from different levels of the game having massive jumps in skill and quality. This can often see a player excel at one level only to really struggle when they take the step up.
There are a total of 10 teams taking part in the competition, with matches being played each day. The tournament is played in a round-robin format across the group-stage, with this leading into knockout matches that end in a grand final.
We have brought together the 10 sides and listed their prospects for the season in the table below.
Key Teams & 2025 Season Prospects
Team | 2025 Season Prospects |
---|---|
Bandra Blasters | The Blasters returned with a revamped squad that is looking to build towards the futures. |
Eagle Thane Strikers | Seen as a strong contender with a balanced lineup boasting explosive batting and dangerous bowlers. |
Triumph Knights | The Knights have added a youthful look to a side that already had a lot of experience, although it remains to be seen whether they can challenge at the top. |
MSC Maratha Royals | The Royals have always been a strong side, and they are the pick of many to go all the way this year. |
North Mumbai Panthers | With a keen focus on nurturing young talent, this tournament may have come too soon for the Panthers. |
Koparkhairne Titans | The focus was on building a strong bowling group, and the Titans now boast an attacking lineup that takes wickets regularly. |
Thane Warriors | There looks to be a lack of depth in this Warriors' side, with their middle-order a particular concern, especially in tighter games. |
Vasai Vipers | The Vipers are another side looking to build with the future in mind. A range of young players have been brought in, and the idea will be to build up their experience of playing competitive cricket. |
Goregaon Gladiators | Experience and youth springs to mind for the Gladiators. The side boasts one of the most powerful batting outfits in the league, with their bowlers potentially proving to be the weak link. |
Mulund Mavericks | Nurturing talent for the future is the focus for the Mavericks, with the outfit not likely title contenders at this stage. |
