Teams & Format
The Mumbai Premier League Twenty20 is a domestic T20 cricket league organised by the Mumbai Cricket Association. The tournament was created with nurturing the next generation of cricketers in mind.
Modern cricket still suffers from different levels of the game having massive jumps in skill and quality. This can often see a player excel at one level only to really struggle when they take the step up.
There are a total of 10 teams taking part in the competition, with matches being played each day. The tournament is played in a round-robin format across the group-stage, with this leading into knockout matches that end in a grand final.
