Both Travis Head and Adam Zampa were rested for Australia’s game three loss to England and will be keen to do their part to wrap up the series for Australia and avoid a do-or-die fifth and deciding match.
Travis Head has top scored for Australia in the series with 183 runs after scoring 154 in the second match. I expect Head to be a problem once again for England and will score a half century or beyond to lead Australia to victory.
The last one-dayer played at Lord’s was between England and New Zealand with both spinners Rachin Ravindra and Moeen Ali both taking 4 wickets each for their respective team’s. The pitch will pay into the hands of the well-resta Zampa who will claim at least two wickets for Australia.

England Form
England’s bowlers got them off to a decent start getting both openers Mitch Marsh and Matt Short out at 2-47, however the middle order proved to be a little stiffer and the Australians managed to put up a total of 304 runs. Jofra Archer was the only English bowler to claim multiple wickets with figures of 2/67 from his 10 overs bowled.
The English openers struggled again, combining for just 8 runs between them. Will Jacks and stand-in captain Harry Brook were in a tough spot at 2-11 with the series on the line and they stood up to the challenge in the best partnership for England all series.
The pair combined for 156 runs before Jacks fell for 84 and with rain looming they had done enough to ensure the home team’s first victory of the series.
England Squad
Jos Buttler (captain), Jofra Archer, Jacob Bethell, Harry Brook, Brydon Carse, Jordan Cox, Ben Duckett, Josh Hull, Will Jacks, Matthew Potts, Adil Rashid, Phil Salt, Jamie Smith, Olly Stone, Reece Topley and John Turner
Australia Form
The Aussie got off to an under-par start with both Short (14 runs) and Marsh (24 runs) falling early, however the innings was steadied by Steve Smith and Cam Green who put together an 84 run partnership before green fell for 42 runs. Marnus Labuschagne fell for a duck which brought in Alex Carey who put in another knock, going unbeaten for 77 runs making the score a respectable one for the Australians.
Mitch Starc got the Aussies off to the perfect start, dismissing Phil Salt for 0 and Ben Duckett for 8 runs with the series a whisker away from being sealed. However, Jacks and Brooks saved England the embarrassment of a 3-0 whitewash with a superb third-wicket stand that kept the home team alive.
Cameron Green continued to push his stakes as the best all-rounder in the Aussie squad, also claiming 2/45 from 6 overs bowled.
