    Teams & Format

The competition alternates between the T20 format and the ODI game. In 2025, the T20 format is being used for the competition. This means that the teams have a total of 20 overs in each match to bat and 20 overs in the field.

T20 cricket is the shortest of the three major formats. This means that despite taking the least amount of time to complete a match, the excitement is still high as teams look to smash the ball to all corners of the pitch.

The competition currently boasts eight teams in total including the following:

    • India
    • Pakistan
    • Sri Lanka
    • Bangladesh
    • Afghanistan
    • UAE
    • Oman
    • Hong Kong

The tournament features two groups of four teams. The top two sides from each group advance to the Super Four round robin stage. The top two sides from this phase move into the final.
