    Women's Caribbean Premier League

The Women’s Caribbean Premier League (WCPL) is an annual women’s T20 tournament in the Caribbean, held by Cricket West Indies (CWI).

The competition is played among just three teams ahead of the men’s Caribbean Premier League.

The Women’s Caribbean Premier League is a relatively new tournament in the women’s cricket circuit.

The history of the competition dates back to March of 2022, when West Indies’ cricket board announced plans to hold a women’s domestic tournament with international talent to complement the men’s Caribbean Premier League, which has run for over a decade.

The inaugural edition of the WCPL was held in 2022.

How To Stream The Women's Caribbean Premier League

While the Women’s Caribbean Premier League is relatively new, there are a few ways to stream the tournament live depending on your location.

In the Caribbean, you can watch the competition on SportsMax. The official YouTube and Facebook channels of the WCPL streams the tournament live for the rest of the world.

In India, FanCode streams the WCPL live for a digital audience. Star Sports broadcasts the WCPL live on television in India.

In the UK, you can watch the WCPL on TNT Sports while Fox Sports streams the tournament live in Australia.

You can also catch live action of the WCPL on Sky Sport in New Zealand, Super Sport in South Africa, Willow TV in the USA and Canada and Cricbuzz in MENA.

How To Bet On Caribbean Premier League (Women)

There are several ways to bet on the WCPL depending on your wagering preferences. Considering the tournament hosts some of the best women’s cricket players in the world, sportsbooks provide hundreds of markets for you to bet on.

The most popular betting market on the WCPL is match winner (also called the moneyline), where you simply have to pick the winner of a particular match. You also have access to other markets, such as batter totals, total boundaries, match handicaps and highest runscorer for each team.

You can also bet live after a match has started with in-play betting. You can make your betting decisions at various points of a live game, including at the innings break or even towards the end of a match.  In live betting, odds fluctuate after every ball.

If you have a higher risk appetite, you can even bet on the outrights market for the WCPL. In this market, you would be betting on the eventual winner of the tournament. However, since just three teams participate, the odds for an outright market are significantly lower than most other cricket tournaments.

Format Of The WCPL & Teams

The format of the WCPL is a double round robin followed by a single final. Each team plays four games in the group stage (every team faces the other two teams twice), with the top two teams advancing to a single final.

Three teams participate in the WCPL: Barbados Royals, Guyana Amazon Warriors and Trinbago Knight Riders.
