Head to Head

RCB and DC have played each other in 33 matches so far, with 19 wins for the Royal Challengers and 12 victories for the Capitals.

They have already played each other once in the season in Bengaluru, and the Capitals won by six wickets. Spinners Vipraj Nigam and Kuldeep Yadav combined for figures of 8-0-35-4 to stifle RCB to 163 for 7. The chase was anchored by KL Rahul’s 93 as they won with 13 balls to spare.

Delhi Capitals Form

After 43 matches in the season, Delhi are second in the points table with 2 points (W6, L2). They are level on points with Gujarat Titans above and Royal Challengers Bengaluru below.

They are coming off an eight-wicket win over Lucknow, but they have been alternating losses and wins in their last four matches. One of those wins was a come-from-behind victory in the Super Over.

Bengaluru’s local boy KL Rahul (323 runs, SR 153.80) has been Delhi’s lifeline with the bat this season. Bowling duties are ably shared by Kuldeep (12 wickets, 6.50) and Mitchell Starc (11 wickets).

Delhi Capitals Team News

Faf du Plessis has been sidelined since Delhi’s game against Bengaluru. Will he make a comeback in this match? Karun Nair grabbed his chance in Faf’s absence to cement his role as an opener.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru Form

Bengaluru also have 12 points (W6, L3) and is third in the standings after 43 matches in IPL 2025. They have the lowest NRR among the three teams that are tied on 12 points.

Results-wise, they are on a roll, winning three of their last four matches, including two in a row. With five wins out of five on the road, they are a team to beat when playing away from home.

Romario Shepherd has been sparingly used despite being picked for his bowling. RCB may go back to Liam Livingstone or pick up Nuwan Thushara or Jacob Bethell to strengthen one aspect of their game.
