PSL Key Players
| Player (Team) | Prospects |
|---|---|
| Babar Azam (Peshawar Zalmi) | The captain of his side, an in-form Babar Azam is one of the finest players in the men's game, and he put on show his full range of shots in a stunning performance in 2026. |
| Steve Smith (Multan Sultans) | One of the finest players of his generation, Steve Smith may be renowned more for his antics with the bat in the Test game, but he is able to split a field and score quick runs in all formats. |
| Shaheen Shah Afridi (Lahore Qalandars) | One of Pakistan's premier fast bowlers, Shaheen Shah Afridi will be a key player in the wicket-taking charts whenever he is given the ball. |
PSL Key Betting Markets
The PSL provides so many avenues for bettors to go down. Whether you are looking to wager on long-term events or on niche markets in specific matches, the tournament has now become so big that you will usually find what you are looking for.
For the tournament, we have picked out a few of the key betting markets that will likely see a lot of interest:
- PSL Winner: Everyone wants to try their hand at predicting which side will win the competition, but it is easier said than done. Indeed, Lahore Qalandars won consecutive iterations of the competitions in 2022 and 2023, but they were outdone by Islamabad United in 2024. This simply means picking the winner is not as simple as backing the pre-tournament favourite or the top side after a handful of matches.
- Top Batter: In the battle between bat and ball, the former seems to have built an advantage in recent years, with the ball often flying to all corners of the ground. While the bowlers have their moments, it is often about damage control. Backing a player like Babar Azam may provide the most likely top batter according to certain bookies, but with so much top talent on show, any player could hit the biggest total of runs.
